Digital Proof of Delivery (POD) captures recipient signatures, photographic evidence of goods condition, and a precision GPS timestamp at the point of handover. Failed deliveries are documented with specific reason codes (refused, not home, wrong address), allowing for immediate rescheduling or investigation.
Completed PODs are instantly attached to the corresponding sales order in the ERP, triggering the next step in the accounting or invoicing workflow without manual intervention.
